Of all the planets in our Solar System, Earth is the only one

which contains water in all three states - vapour, liquid and ice.

This forms the water cycle, which is so vital to life as we know it,

partaking as it does in the cleansing and nourishing of land, sea and air.

We need to understand that polluting our water systems is akin to

injecting deadly chemicals into the blood of another living thing;

unless we stop doing this the organism will surely die,

and that organism is our living, breathing, growing world,

which has been the spring of our existence and our home ever since.
